Prestonwood FAQs

Q: How does the PHOA Board Communicate with Residents?
A: We communicate in many ways and strive to keep our residents informed on all issues affecting our community. Primary communication tools include:
  • Email blasts tailored to specific issues, events and news. The subject line will let you know what the "blast" contains. We try to limit our eblasts to once a week, but at times the news dictates a greater frequency. Item-specific email is the preferred method of communication.
  • In addition to emails, emergency announcements and short urgent news will be sent instantly to residents' cell phones. An even faster way to communicate than blast emails. Text messages will only be sent to those who have a cell phone number listed.

  • Our newsletter, The Prestonwood Times is sent out periodically as dictated by new information. We strive to anticipate events and news that will happen in the future. If you have any news or information you would like published, please send it in by the 15th.
  • PHOA Board Meetings are held as needed. Check the Event page to see if a meeting is scheduled.  They are held at the Prestonwood Pool Area.  Everyone is welcome to attend - whether you are an owner or a renter. This is where the business of Prestonwood is discussed, as well as questions fielded from our residents.
  • The U.S. Mail - a decision was made in 2009 to "go green" as often as we can with our information. Only items required to be mailed by the Prestonwood Governing Documents are sent by U.S. Mail.
  • Flyers and Print Pieces. We try not to use flyers for the dissemination of information, but will for some functions.
Q: How much are the Prestonwood Assessments?
A: Assessments are $425.00 per year and due on the first of March. Payment must be received no later than March 1st. Any assessment not paid within thirty days after the due date shall bear interest from the due date at the annual rate of 10% per plus a $25.00 late fee. The Association may bring an action of law against the owner(s) personally obligated to pay the same, and/or place a lien against the property for unpaid assessments.

How do I get more involved with the HOA?
There are often vacancies on the resident volunteer committees. Applications to serve on one of the committees can be obtained from a PHOA board member. You can always run for the Board of Directors, too!
